"My friends tell me that my business name fits me — in more ways than one! I wish you could handle the beads in person the way I do – I think this  is the downfall of shopping on line — missing out on the touch and the feel of the bracelet or necklace in your hands or in the case of earrings — holding them up to your ear and looking in the mirror! I got my first beaded item on a day trip to Chicago for my birthday — my husband and I were at Marshall Field's and a glitzy red beaded watch called my name from across the jewelry counter!

A gardener for many years, I think designing and making jewelry is much like gardening — letting the beads (or the plants) tell you where they belong and who they want to be neighbors with. I use only quality products — sterling wire, copper wire, Swarovski crystals that glitter in the light, glass beads, handmade beads (not by me),stones like jasper, agates, rhodonite and all those pretties that I ignored in science class. Some of my jewelry is made with recycled items. If you look under the 'bike" section you'll see some of the recycling.

Most of my jewelry are one-of-kind pieces — some are limited editions. Please feel free to contact me at alwayswiredbeadlady@1ofakindjewelrymall.com if you have a special request about any of my jewelry.

I have learned much from many people — Eni Oken, Karen Hardy, Connie Fox to name a few. I belong to The International Jewelry Designers' Guild and to 14 South Artists in S Central Wisconsin.

A portion of my jewelry sales go to the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.www.phoenix-society.org/

I offer free first class shipping to the US and US territories."
