A dispute at the Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet in Las Vegas turned violent, resulting in the arrest of a married couple. The altercation escalated when the husband, Deangelo Dixon, fired shots at his wife’s car, which had their two children inside, and the wife, Lashontae Turner, ran over Dixon as he stood on the street median. The incident left Dixon with two broken legs and a hand injury.
The confrontation began on March 23 when Dixon and Turner argued over purchasing an LED light at the swap meet on Decatur Blvd. Dixon allegedly punched Turner before she got into the car with her children and attempted to leave. In response, Dixon fired multiple rounds at the car, narrowly missing, and hitting a nearby medical office sign instead.
Security footage showed Dixon walking across the street as Turner made a U-turn, accelerated, and ran over him. Dixon landed on the car’s windshield before falling to the ground, sustaining severe injuries. Turner, in shock, turned back to help Dixon and called the police.
Following the incident, Turner was detained with her children at the scene, while Dixon was rushed to University Medical Center for treatment. Turner was initially arrested on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and domestic violence, but the district attorney’s office chose not to prosecute her. In contrast, Dixon faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, discharging a weapon, child abuse, and weapon possession by a prohibited individual.
Further investigation revealed that the couple had a tumultuous relationship, having separated when Dixon was incarcerated but reconciled shortly before the violent altercation. Their history of conflict and the events leading up to the shooting shed light on the complex dynamics at play.
