Walcott Truckers Jamboree Celebrates 45th Year with Trucking Enthusiasts

The Walcott Truckers Jamboree, celebrating its 45th anniversary, commenced at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, drawing in drivers from across the country. This three-day event honors professional truck drivers and their vital role in the economy. Festivities include a super truck beauty contest, an Iowa pork chop cookout, antique truck displays, and trucker Olympics. One truck owner, John Osborne, a four-year veteran in truck building, eagerly brought his truck for the second year in a row. This year, the Jamboree showcases 88 trucks, with nearly 100 trophies to be awarded across 33 different categories during the Saturday ceremony. In addition, a celebration for Iowa 80’s 60th Anniversary is scheduled in the Super Truck Showroom on Friday afternoon, complete with cake.

Admission and parking are free for this event, with shuttles available to transport attendees from the parking area to the event grounds.
