Raedene R. Linderman, a beloved member of the Wellington community, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 75. She was surrounded by her loving daughter, Shannon, and her cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Adam Jr., Christian, and Eva. Raedene, born in Lorain and a graduate of Admiral King High School, spent most of her life in Wellington, where she was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Known for her passion for antiques, Raedene was an avid collector and dealer. She operated a co-op shop to showcase and sell her treasured finds, with garage sales and visits to Jamie’s Flea Market being among her favorite pastimes. In addition to her love for antiques, Raedene found joy in painting, drawing inspiration from the renowned artist Bob Ross. She had a knack for decorating, particularly during the holidays, and took pleasure in admiring the beauty of Lake Erie.
However, Raedene’s most cherished treasures were her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Gilbert Jr., Christopher, and Shannon, as well as her grandchildren, Samantha, Adam Jr., Christian, Eva, and Amelia. Raedene was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gilbert Sr., her infants Raymond and Gilbert, her parents Raymond and Eva, and her grandmother Amelia Catherine Guthrie, who raised her.
The community will gather to pay their respects on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center in Amherst. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Those who wish to offer condolences can do so online through the funeral home’s website.
Raedene’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones and the community she was a part of for so many years. Her dedication to preserving history through her antique collections and her unwavering love for her family have left a lasting impact on those who knew her. Her legacy as a devoted mother, grandmother, and member of the Wellington community will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
