The Pacific Beach community in San Diego, CA, is gearing up for a festive season with a lineup of exciting holiday events. Residents can look forward to the 12th annual Santa Run and the 44th annual PB Holiday Parade scheduled for December 14. Alongside these traditional events, Discover PB is introducing a new holiday activity called holiday wreath bingo to add to the merriment of the season.
The Santa Run, organized by San Diego Running Co., promises to be the biggest yet, with an expected turnout of about 7,000 participants. The event will feature two waves of 5K races, a kids 1-mile race, and a special 1-mile dog race. Participants can register online and pick up their race packets at designated locations in Pacific Beach before race day.
Following the Santa Run, the 44th annual PB Holiday Parade, hosted by Discover PB, will take place along Garnet Avenue. The parade will showcase floats from local businesses, community groups, and elected officials, all adhering to this year’s theme, “Holiday Movie Spectacular.” The festive parade is a community favorite that brings together residents of all ages.
Due to renovations on Crystal Pier, the traditional tree lighting and wreath display will not be happening this year. However, Discover PB has collaborated with local businesses to organize a holiday wreath bingo event from December 1 to New Year’s Eve. Participants can purchase bingo cards and visit participating businesses to collect stamps or stickers. The first 75 participants to complete the bingo game will receive a limited edition PB holiday ornament.
The holiday season in Pacific Beach offers a perfect blend of fitness, entertainment, and community engagement. With the Santa Run, PB Holiday Parade, and holiday wreath bingo, residents and visitors can immerse themselves in the festive spirit and support local businesses during this special time of year.
