This is the attitude of native born Mississippi artist, Amelia Clark. Amelia was born Sarah Amelia Methvin in Yazoo City, MS. She exhibited an accelerated ability in art as early as three years old and cultivated her natural talent throughout her life. As a self taught artist, Amelia had little formal training but an abundance of motivation and perseverance. If art is a window to the soul, then we know much about the heart and spirit of Amelia Clark through her artwork. Surveying the assembled works by Amelia we see images of pride in one's heritage, images of a good and simple, honest life and images of faith and inspiration.
